The examiner asks you about yourself, your home, work or studies and other familiar topics.

  • Does the weather outside often affect your mood?
  • What do you usually do to pass the time on very cold or rainy days?
  • Are there four distinct seasons in your country?
  • How often do you check the weather forecast?

Part 2: Long Turn

You will have to talk about the topic for one to two minutes.

Part 3: Two-way Discussion

You will be asked further questions connected to the topic in Part 2.

  • How significantly does the typical climate of a country affect the culture and daily lifestyle of its people?
  • What are the most devastating economic impacts of severe weather events like hurricanes or long droughts?
  • Do you believe individual actions can actually make a measurable difference in slowing down global climate change?
  • How do ancient or traditional weather prediction methods compare to modern meteorological technology?
  • Should governments restrict the construction of new homes and businesses in areas highly prone to extreme weather?
